COMPUTER PROBLEMS

I have had problems with my computer recently.  Whenever I try to access my photos the computer stops working, hence the lack of entries on my blog.  I will try to rectify this.

However, we have not been lazy.  We have done many walks and rides over the last month.  We even had a trip to England, when we went walking in Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest.

Yesterday, Christmas Eve, we were at Camping Sierra Espuna, where we attended a party for one of our friends staying there.  We are presently in the house in Totana with the rain falling outside. Tomorrow will be better!  It has to be we are running in a training event for orienteering in La Muela (behind Alhama de Murcia) and we have to do the mens 21 age category course as that is the easiest course they are running.  For +/- 60 year-olds that will be testing!

Anyway, everyone have a very Merry Christmas (what´s left of the day) and i´ll try to post again soon.

Walk from Las Alquerias, Sierra Espuña

Yesterday we did a marked route in Sierra Espuña,  The walk starts near the restaurant Los Donceles and the Casa Forestal Las Alquerias. There is a board showing the route and the path is marked with yellow and white paint slashes.  It is 9.3 km long with some climb! and the recommended time is three and a half hours although we walked it in two and a quarter hours without rushing and taking time for photos.

Via de la Plata

On 15 May we began to cycle the Via de la Plata.  This is a pilgrim route starting at the Cathedral in Seville and ending at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, a total of approximately 1,000 km.

Last year we rode the Camino Frances and had very mixed weather conditions.  This year we were hoping for better.  We had been advised by a friend who lives in Seville not to do the ride as proposed in June, because he said it would be too hot for us, so we brought it forward two weeks.  We began the route in quite cold conditions which improved as the route continued north.

Been very tardy

It is now April 2013 and  not put anything on the blog.  Not that we haven´t been doing things, but just not found the time to write on here.

We have done many walks and bike rides during the last months, but some of these have been revisits of past routes and so not something to write about.

We are going to ride the Via de la Plata towards the end of May so will try to take some good photos to put something on here then.  Before then I will try to add some more things on here.
